Netbook Reflection 2013

*How has having a netbook connected to the internet helped my learning this year?

It has helped me to find new ways to get my work done and to help me with my family and that

I know how to use a netbook.

*I have learned from my teacher Mrs Miller how to improve in my reading using a website called kiwi kids news . It has helped me to understand the text in my reading.

* I have learnt to find new ways to search up information for my learning this year.

*I have learnt from a friend how to find out information because it helps me to read and so I understand the text.

*I have learnt from my family how to search up maths games so I can improve in my maths

* I have helped my friends to understand the text during writing and reading so they improve in their writing and reading.

* My Netbook has helped me with my learning. My Netbook has helped me by getting to things a lot faster so that I can complete my class tasks on time.

Watercare

On Monday we had Sally from Watercare talk about water and how water is recycled.
After Sally was done talking to us she said that we would be creating an experiment .
We had to get into a group of 4 and had to mix salt with fresh water into 3 cups.When we were done we had to put food colouring in the 3 cups and 1 with nothing in it. Sally said that number 1 could go first so I grabbed a tube and dropped it into the yellow colour then to the red and last the blue I learnt that salt water is dense and if you were to got in the sea you would float but in fresh water you would sink.

Maths TIme

Today I learnt to tell time on an analogue and a digital clock by using the time activity's that Mrs Miler set up for the classroom.

Party Time

To the left and the right : Alazay,Liantre,Deziree and Juanita some of the students from Panmure
Bridge School having the time of their lives.

 On Saturday the 9th of November 2013 11-1.30pm at Panmure Bridge School there was a huge party held by the C3 church and managed by a lady named Jackie. Everyone was chatting and meeting other families from P.B.S. The reason why they had this party was that their principal Mr Johnston just wanted the kids to have a fun time. “This party is awesome because everything is FREE!!” said one of the students from panmure Bridge school. there were lots of performances performed and there were lots of food.There were pro wrestlers,Mr Whippy,pamper room for the mothers,hot chocolates, and heaps of fun. Its good to know that they had fun.

The mortal instruments city of bones

Last week my mum sister cousin and I went to the movies and we watched the mortal instruments city of bones . The movie is about a girl named Clary going in to the city of bones to save her mum form the demons. Clary is a shadow hunter who kills the demons. It was so awesome I would love to watch it again.

The smurfs 2

Today My sister ,cousin ,Liantre and I went to the movies we went and seen smurfs 2 it was really awesome.All of us loved it  was so funny and we ended up enjoying the rest of our day.

Yesterday my cousin got a sharpay and it is a boy and he is so cute I wish he was mine.My cousins says its not easy to look after a dog.

The pools

Today my six cousins and I went to the pools and it was so fun we played relay races and swimming races. It was so cool when my cousin and I went to the deep end we played who could hold there breath the longest and I won (hahah). Then my cousin and I had a swimming race and my cousin won but I know that I will beet her next time. Then we had to go but we got fish and chips it was yummy :) and my cousins and I enjoyed the rest of our day.

Tonight we made making pancakes and they were Delicious I so wish that we could make more YUM. ! :)

Day at Uncle's

Today was boring but also fun we played water wars and trivia it was cool and fun and. Here is the boring part CLEANING UP! was so boring doing dishes and looking after my brother ( man the little boy had so much energy ) but it turned out to be and okay day after all. :)

* I have enjoyed swimming the most this term

this term our school has had 6 weeks of swimming

and it was awesome.

*I enjoyed  this activity because I like to swim and it helps me to learn new thing

about  swimming.  

*I have learnt how to create new friends at my school.

* I am really proud of the learning this term it has really helped me.

* I next term my goal is to go up in my maths work and improve next term.

Creping Along

My book called Creeping along is about glaciers.  Glaciers began forming Hundred of years ago and there are still some in New Zealand. Glaciers are made from fallen snow and water to create a glacier.

Ripper Rugby day

On Wednesday the 4th half the senior school went to the ripper rugby field day.
We had to walk to the Point England  reserve and we vs Point England and Bailey roads
we had a tie versing point England and we lost to bailey roads but at least we had fun.

Movie time

Movie Time

On the 24th of July Liantre and I went to the movies. The theater we went to was Hoyts cinema 2 and we went to watch Monsters University. It was really funny watching them do some really funny things like getting hit in the face with a glowing sea urchin but first a good movie goes better with popcorn.

Liantre and I went to Pak n Save and we brought popcorn, chocolate and  drinks it was fun. When Liantre and I had got the lollies, we started walking to the theater. When I touched the popcorn it felt so silky because I had caramel popcorn.

At the theater we saw my mum, nan, sister, brother and cousin. My sister and cousin went to watch Epic. They said it was really cool but I think that MU was better. My mum, brother and nan went out because they didn’t want to watch a movie so they went shopping in the mall.

When the movie hadn’t started, me and Liantre went in the game room. I played on a lot of cool games.  I won 2 things I got a teddy bear and I won a charm bracelet. It was really cool but the games were really hard.

The movie was going to start so me and Liantre went in and sat in our seats. We were numbers 17 & 18. The movie had started. It is  about 2 monsters. They wanted to become scarers to do that they would have to go to university. That is where they became scarers but in one part of the movie is my favorite part is The scare games. It is so cool and the funny part was when they got in trouble by the librarian. So Mike said ‘’we need to become more fit’’.

From that day forward Mike would have to train his team. Mike got up early in the morning and woke everyone and started to train his team for the next scare game.  When the movie was nearly finishing. I got out my chocolate bar and ate a very big piece. In the movie I saw that winning is okay but teamwork is better. Oh and my favorite character was Art the  purple monster.

When the movie had finished  I  really wanted to know what had happened. Liantre and I went out went back to Liantre’s house and made clay and what we made were clay cakes it was really messy.

Netball

  Today me and my cousin have a netball game today and we are versing the Lorenz yr 7's  and the boring thing is that this is our last game today until next year but I just hope that we win.

This is my poppet on landforms

This is my poppet it shows kind of colours the red is all about volcanoes you can see a video and what the definition is.In the grey is about the rocks and that it is apart of the landforms. In the blue is all geysers it has a video and the definition. The black is about the caves and like what is a cave. and the yellow is about mountains and did you know that they are apart of landforms. What I learnt from this session is a lot about landforms.
